Packaging. What good is getting a great deal on a
piece of sheetmetal when it is freight damaged when you receive it? We've
heard the horror stories of items that are poorly packaged using left
over cardboard, garbage bags, and even no packaging at all. Race Image
is adamant about you receiving your race used item exactly as it is illustrated
on our website. We use custom made boxes for UPS items that meet all shipping
standards, and fit your sheetmetal item closely. If you order multiple
sheetmetal items that fit in the same box, we'll carefully separate the
items with bubble wrap, or cardboard to keep them from damaging each other.
If you purchase a piece of autographed sheetmetal, we always use an "autograph
protector" to keep it from rubbing off in transit. We also have heavy
duty custom boxes made for larger items like hoods, roofs, and large doors
that are double box providing over 550 lbs of sidewall strength. On nicer
hoods, we'll wrap them in giant bubble pack within the box to eliminate
any possible abrasions to the surface. We even tape down the hood pins
with blue masking tape for easy removal. Not to mention, all of our sheetmetal
is stored inside. Using good packaging may cost a couple bucks more, but
you will be content in knowing your item will show up safe and not damaged. |
